No. 1: The Box and Its Messenger
An inexplicable golden dust-storm is already blowing across the box’s lid. This agitation has awakened the spermy little newborn kraken inside, and galvanized it into action. It wanted out and has now freed itself. What is its desire? It wants to find another of its kind. Another rapid ghost. Another spermatazoidal machine. Just at the moment, it is frantic, fearful and, as Edward Dahlberg might have described it, “big with Void” (The Olive of Minerva, 1976).
