#57: The Visionary Gleam

Seeing is for the most part passive.  If you have eyes, it just happens to you, like hearing or breathing.  Vision, on the other hand, is a more alarming experience.  Vision shatters and penetrates.  The visionary eye, working in tandem with some urgent focus of mind, performs in vectors, logging speed and direction of perception.  Vision goes a long way, searing through the everyday scrims and membranes that would hinder it.  Vision slices, plunders, hurtles into creative extravagance, lazering away all modes of ordinariness and proscribed thinking, to come at last to some outer shell of previous experience that is then also left behind in Vision's mad trajectory.
